ISABELLA - OWNER & TRAINER

 

I started in the fitness industry after realising there was a need for women to have a place where they can feel comfortable to exercise, be guided and keep up their motivation. Being a mother of 2 kids, I myself joined a bootcamp after failing at the gym and found I was attending regularly, learning about nutrition and health and also found great support from the trainer and other women.

 

It really did change my life. I lost 10kgs but more importantly, I gained fitness, core strength (no more back pain), energy, better healthier habits and made life long friends. I was a happier mum, I felt the fittest, strongest and healthiest I had ever been. That’s how my passion for helping other mothers achieve and feel the same began.

 

Becoming a Personal Trainer and then starting I Want Fitness has been an amazing journey, giving women the support, encouragement and guidance that they need to improve their fitness. However, it’s become more than just fitness, it’s become about improving a lifestyle of not so healthy habits, changing mindsets and bonding with other women.

 

What makes I Want Fitness different is the personal touch, we genuinely care about our members and provide them with the tools and encouragement to create change, achieve their goals and win at life!

LEXI - BOOTCAMP TRAINER

 

My fitness journey actually began after having my second child. To this day I am forever thankful to my sister in law for asking me to join her water aerobics class. That moment was just over 10 years ago and I've never looked back. As my confidence grew I started going out of my comfort zone and attended other classes like boxing, cycle and an outdoor fitness. I didn't see massive changes in my body shape but I felt stronger mentally.

 

5 years ago I decided to take my exercise and nutrition seriously and over a period of 12 months dropped 3 dress sizes and 15kgs. I made sure that everything on my plate was fresh food, I still enjoyed my wine and never denied myself any treats if I felt like them. If I couldn't get into a class that day, I would push my 2 year old in the pram to school pickup and I pushed that pram!  I found just doing that little extra every now and then made a huge difference.


That’s when I got qualified in fitness. I was a Personal Trainer for 2 years at a local gym and ran a HIIT classes twice a week. Running those classes helped me realise I wanted to be a group fitness instructor. I loved how the members motivated each other and responded to my way of instructing. In February Isabella approached me to run 2 of her 6am classes and I jumped at the chance. I have met so many strong, wonderful women who I admire for demonstrating active and healthy role models to their own children, husbands and partners.


I pride myself on being a very approachable, fun but also tough trainer. I truly believe through my own experiences that we “do get results when we're being honest with ourselves.”

LISA - BOOTCAMP TRAINER

 

I'm a proud mum of two who is very passionate about the importance of incorporating health and fitness into our busy lifestyle to be “the best version of you”.  When we are happy and fulfilled we have more to give those we love.

I have been on a total personal healing and wellness journey after leaving the corporate world in 2014 to pursue a career in the health and fitness industry which is my absolute passion. I truly believe investing time, energy and focus on fitness and personal development helps you connect with who you truly are and live your life with purpose and gratitude. 

 

I love the connection between mind and body: challenging yourself physically as well as mentally and breaking down the barriers we create for ourselves. I love to meditate and play positive affirmations. If you can change your thoughts, you can honestly change your life!  I have a keen interest in wellbeing and making small, consistent changes that become lasting lifestyle changes. Train and eat nourishing foods because you love yourself and it makes you feel good.

 

My favourite mottos to live by are “the key to happiness is being grateful for what you already have” and “choose today’s attitude …. let it be one of gratitude”.

MARCIA - MEMBER CARE & ADMINISTRATION

 

I started with I Want Fitness in 2015 when my oldest child started Primary School because I wanted something that was “Just for Me”. I had tried gyms before but really prefer the group training sessions that offered camaraderie and accountability.

 

For me exercising is about Stress Relief, Time-Out from being a Mum and building strength and fitness so that I can keep up with and have energy for my kids!

 

I am also passionate about nutrition and eating good quality, healthy foods and sharing those food experiences with the other members.

 

I love supporting the I Want Fitness Trainers and Members with all the Administration side of things so that everyone can focus on enjoying their sessions.
